Preclinical meta research – Call for papers

Aims and Scope

We are delighted to announce that BMJ Open Science will be publishing a special issue which focuses on preclinical meta research in November 2020. All authors who submit to the issue will have the benefit of having their APCs waived.

We accept all preclinical related meta research including original research, opinion pieces, methods, commentaries, reviews etc.

Deadline for submissions: 31 May 2020
Publication date: November 2020

Topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Advances in preclinical meta-research methods
  • Technological advances and tools
  • Integrating evidence streams
  • The future of meta-research
  • Evidence appraisal
  • Risk of bias assessment

High quality systematic reviews and meta analyses that demonstrate advances in meta research methods are also welcome.
